Economy Car Hire has launched the cheapest top-up insurance on the market for just £1 a day. The refundable coverage includes loss or damage to wheels, tyres, glass parts and the underbody and is now available to all customers.

The top-up insurance provides an added level of protection designed to compliment Economy Car Hire’s existing insurance packages, which include fully-inclusive car hire with no excess as standard on any booking.

Commenting on the top-up insurance Rory Sexton, Managing Director of Economy Car Hire, said, “Since the launch of our top-up insurance, 60% of our customers have taken out this added level of protection. Like our existing car rental product, the top up insurance is designed to be hassle free and for £1 a day is the cheapest on the market.

“We want our customers to feel confident that they have booked the right level of cover when hiring a car. By taking out the additional top-up cover there is no better way of insuring against accidents and damage.”
